All the Free Stock Videos You Need to Step up Your Content Game
No matter whether you’re a freelancer, digital nomad, or blogger, high-quality video content is a must for anybody that wants to engage their audience. According to Socialbakers, a video receives on average, 135% more organic reach on Facebook than a photo. Royalty-free stock video footage is a true life-saver for those who don’t have access to a full-time videographer and don’t want to get in any sort of copyright troubles.
But before we jump into the 40+ best sites to get free stock video footage from let’s go over some basic terms:

  • Creative Commons: You can use the content for free since the author or creator has waived their rights to their work.
  • Royalty-Free: This means that you can use and distribute intellectual property without having to pay royalties or license fees.
  • Public Domain: Content that was created prior to 1923 is now part of the public domain, meaning anybody is allowed to copy, modify, or distribute these assets without permission.
  • Attribution: As long as credit to the author is given you can use this content.
  • Commercial Use: This type of license allows you to use content for any type of business venture.
  • Non-commercial Use: This means that as long as you’re not making or trying to make money from your use of the licensed work, you’re free to use this type of content. Common categories of non-commercial uses include educational uses, personal uses, or fan uses.
